A supermassive black hole expels a 3,000-light-year-long plane of plasma, taking a trip at nearly the velocity of light. In the foreground, to the right is a binary superstar system. The unit is far from the great void, but almost the plane. In the device an aging, swelled-up, normal superstar spills hydrogen onto a burned-out white dwarf companion star. As the hydrogen accumulates on the surface of the dwarf, it hits a tipping factor where it takes off like a hydrogen projectile. Novae regularly pop-off throughout the gigantic universe of 1 mountain superstars, yet those near the plane seem to burst extra frequently.
